great help! July 13, 2010 C. Brown (Arlington VA) Great for girls bikes and other bikes with out horizontal cross bar. Keeps bike low on rack so you can see with your rear view mirror. Super easy to use and worth the $$

purchased 1 and then a 2nd one for both out bikes, makes it much easier to mount our curved frame bikes on bike rack, very simple to use on and off in seconds, no trouble stratching frame

Have a woman's bike that did not fit or work on my bike rack. The Allen Tension bar did the trick. It works great! Not to hard to attach to the bike. Would recommend this device.
Good item July 1, 2010 Davide Tripodi (New York, NY USA) This bar fits perfectly my wife's bike, and is indispensable in order to fit the bike on a bike rack.
Works great June 30, 2010 Sarah A. McPherson (Columbus, OH) The bike store tried to sell me a Saris brand bar for $35. This one works just as well at less than half the cost! It works great on my 24" women's bicycle to have it fit on the rack. I use it 5 times a day on a 40 mile roundtrip on highways and it holds up great. My only gripes are what other people have said; the bar you receive is not the bar Amazon pictures (it is the one that someone posted in customer images). The end pin is metal and it will scratch your bike, so I would not recommend it for use on an expensive bike (I don't mind much since I just have a cheap bike for intercampus travel, so it's not a big deal). Additionally, I pinch my fingers almost every single time I am installing it on my bike, so you have to be really careful. Still, it's an excellent product and works great with my Thule rack.
